Janmashtami 2019: Have Darshan of Krishna at ISKCON Temples in the Delhi NCR Area

If on this occasion you also want to be a part of the coming religious observances in the temples, then you can visit the ISKCON temples located in the Delhi NCR area.

ISKCON temples are dedicated to Lord Shri Krishna and Shrimati Radharani. Not only in India but throughout the world you will encounter ISKCON temples. ISKCON temples have also been established in many places in Delhi. But the Shri Shri Radha-Parthasarathi temple is considered to be the oldest ISKCON temple there. This time Shri Krishna Janmashtami is being observed on the 23rd and 24th of August. Thus you can take advantage of seeing Shri Krishna in this temple.

ISKCON temples in Delhi NCR

There are many ISKCON temples in the Delhi NCR area. In all the temples devotees line up (for darshan). The aura of these temples is certainly different. On reaching here one’s own mind becomes peaceful. Seeing the captivating atmosphere here practically dispells all troubles. There are many ISKCON temples, including Delhi, Noida and Gaziabad.

  • Hare Krishna Hills: Shri Shri Radha-Parthasarathi Temple. This location is is in East of Kailash.
  • Shri Shri Shri Radha-Madana-Mohan Temple, Gaziabad. A Vedic studies and center for the performing arts has also been created. The temple is also known as ISKCON Gaziabad.hri Radha Govinda Ji Temple, Punjabi Baag, Delhi. This is also known as the the Punjabi Baag ISKCON Mandir. It is especially notable that there is a goshala with this temple.
  • Located in Dvaraka, Delhi, is the Shri Shri Radharani-Dvarakadhish Temple. It is also known as ISKCON Dvaraka.
  • In Noida the ISKCON temple is built next to the Shri Krishna Jayanti Park. It is also known by the name of Shri Radha-Krishna Mandir. This temple is seven stories tall.
  • ISKCON Temple Greater Noida. There is also a temple in Greater Noida. However, its Vedic center is not yet fully developed.

Interesting things related to ISKCON temples in Delhi.

  • The ISKCON temple [at East of Kailash] design and construction was done by Achyut Kanvind. This temple is also known as the Shri Shri Radha-Parthasarathi Temple.
  • Janmashtami in this temple is observed with great pomp. According to knowledgeable sources, every year about 8 lakhs (800,000) devotees visit this temple.
  • All day long in this temple a bhakti-sadhana program goes on. The first arati of the day is at 4:30 in the morning, which is also called Mangala Arati. Sandhya Arati is at 7:00 pm, and at 8:00 pm there is a Srimad Bhagavad-gita lecture.
  • The Rajbhog Arati is in afternoon is at 12:30 pm. Afterwards, you can attend the arati at 4:15 pm.
  • Kept in this temple is world’s largest Bhagavad-gita, which was unveiled this year on the 26th of February by Prime Minister Narenda Modi.
