BVKS Media Says YouTube Removed Its Sadhguru Video After Copyright Complaint, Republishes Message

The media team of Bhakti Vikasa Swami says YouTube took down its video criticizing a statement attributed to Sadhguru after a copyright complaint. It has now republished the message without the disputed footage.

BVKS Media, which runs the YouTube channel Bhakti Vikasa Swami English, published a video on September 28, 2026, titled “Sadhguru Copyright Complaint: Our Response | Dear Sadhguru Followers, Think Carefully.” The three-and-a-half-minute video explains why an earlier upload disappeared and then repeats its message.

According to the video’s description, BVKS Media had “published a video commenting on a statement attributed to Sadhguru,” in which “a few seconds of the original footage were included for the purpose of discussing and criticizing that statement.” The description continues: “The video was subsequently removed by YouTube following a copyright complaint.” Neither the video nor its description says who filed the complaint.

The republished message is addressed to Sadhguru’s followers. It asks why, if he knows better than God, he did not warn his followers and others about the floods in Nepal, and it urges them to “find a real guru who does not claim to be better than God, but who can teach you who really is God and how to serve Him.” It cites the Mahabharata as teaching that even a respected guru should be rejected if he has taken to a deviant path, and says that the dharma for the age of Kali is the chanting of the holy names.

The description adds: “Viewers are encouraged to examine such claims carefully on the basis of guru, sādhu and śāstra, rather than personality or sentiment.”
