Help to acquire Land at Srila Prabhupada’s Birthplace to build a Memorial

My dear Maharaj ji’s, Prabhu ji’s and Mataji’s

We want to share extremely happy news about His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Gurumaharaj pledging Rs 20 lakhs (US $ 24,000) for the Srila Prabhupada Phase-2 land acquisition project. His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Gurumaharaj ji ki Jai !
With this contribution, we are closer to our goal of raising a balanced amount of Rs 1.6 crore ( US $ 200,000) which we need to evict 9 subtenants from the adjacent land.

In the month of November, we had paid Rs 2.65 crores or US $ 3,25,000 to owners who were about to give the land to promoters for 5-story building construction. We are extremely grateful to His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaj ji, His Grace Ambarish Prabhu ji, and Purushottam Agarwal Prabhu ji who came together to save the adjacent land (Phase-2) from going into the hands of the promoters. We have already paid the Thika tenants Rs 2.65 crores or US $ 3,25,000 which he had demanded and saved the land.

Till now we have received/got pledges for the following amounts for PHASE-2 of the land acquisition:

1) His Holiness Jayapataka Swami (pledged) : US $ 24,000 or Rs 20 Lakhs
2) His Holiness Devamrita Swami (Money received): US $ 2400 approx or Rs 2,03,000
3) His Holiness Sivaram Swami (Money received): US $ 2,000 or approx Rs 1,60,000
4) His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaj ji has contributed US $ 1,85,000 or Rs 1.5 crores rupees. (Money received)
5) His Grace Ambarish Prabhu ji has contributed US $ 1,45,000 or Rs 1.17 crores rupees (Money received)
6) Purusottam Goyal (Kolkata) has contributed US $ 13,500. or Rs 11 lakhs (Money received)

We would also like to thank His Grace Deenbandhu Prabhu (ACBSP) and Arjun Bhattacharya Prabhu, who are in Australia and New Zealand tour collecting for Srila Prabhupada’s birthplace. We would also like to thank His Grace Ghanashyam Govind Prabhu, the temple president of ISKCON Sydney, who has started a drive to raise Australian Dollars 100,000 or US $ 67,000 from Sydney.

So after the pledge of 20 lakhs from His Holiness Japataka Swami Maharaj and devotees of ISKCON trying to raise US $ 67,000 (Australian dollars 100,000), we will still need to collect about Rs 80 lakhs approx to complete the Phase-2 of the land acquisition.

So kindly help us raise the balance amount of Rs 80 Lakhs or about US $ 100,000 only. With this amount, we will be able to get possession of Phase-2 land which is approx 4,500 square feet. After we complete Phase 2 of land acquisition, we will acquire more land through Phase 3, Phase 4 and Phase 5 and then start the memorial cum temple project. Our goal is to acquire a minimum of 1-acre land at Srila Prabhupada’s birthplace.
