H.H. Rupa Raghunath Swami Maharaj (LOK) Health Update

Dear devotees, Namo Namaha. Jaya Srila Prabhupada!

Akincana.net has received the following information through H.G. Basu Ghosh Prabhu about the present condition of H.H. Rupa Raghunath Swami (LOK).  H.G. Basu Ghosh Prabhu told Akincana today that
“Over the phone, he received a report on the present health situation of HH Rupa Raghunath Swami Maharaj (LOK).

H.H. Rupa Raghunath Swami

Maharaj is 79 years old from Argentina, but from an Italian-speaking family – he preached for many years in Italy, and for the past 20 years has been preaching in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and on all-India Padayatra).”

H.G. Basu Ghosh Prabhu further informed that the medical report is not good. His lungs are 90% damaged, and chances of recovery are not good. He was somewhat stubborn not to have taken immediate treatment for the Covid-19 coronavirus infection. The hospital will do its best in the circumstances. I was told the doctors said, “why have you brought him so late”, and they are considering intubating him (putting him on a ventilator).

Devotees are requested to pray for the health and fast recovery of H.H. Rupa Raghunath Swami Maharaj.

  • Please, give Maharaja Rupa Raghunath a Swami my respectful obeissances, my love, our love in gratitude for his help for ISKCON Caracas Nama-hatta Caraballeda. We are very indebted to him Gouranganatha Dasa, in Venezuela, in Madrid, Spain, Prabhu Janesvara Nityananda Das JPS.

  • Do the many comments here by these ignorant foolish devotees realize that one is ONLY put on a ventilator because they CANNOT breath on their own!

A ventilator allows them to breath and is VERY necessary in advanced COVID-19 cases and taking them off it means death because they cannot breath on their own!!

I work as an assistant at Monash Medical Centre.

To take one off a ventilator means they will not be able to breath at all!

Sadly many are obviously ignorant of how serious COVID-19 is to wait so long for help.

    • He's now back at ISKCON Vallabhvidyanagar. To know exactly his present health condition, contact Adiguru Prabhu (Lok) who is looking after him. You can send Adiguru Prabhu a message via Facebook messenger here: https://tinyurl.com/4rbe7vzk

  • I think let the Doctors decide what is the best for him .I too had an impression that ventilator is nothing but to increase the bill but since when I was put on ventilator for eight days by Grace of Lord Narasimha I am back home and much better now. Let us pray for his early recovery to Lord Narasimha.

    • Asish, Maharaj left the hospital and is back at ISKCON Vallabhvidyanagar (Anand, Gujarat).

  • You are a silly arrogant ignorant fool, you have no brain to understand the real facts about Covid-19 as I clearly and correctly explained above

  • You are a nonsense ignorant fool with no brain!! A pretend devotee. And yes I know who you are, stop misleading people!!
