Studying Srila Prabhupada’s Books

Jaya Srila Prabhupada! Now, after 100 episodes of Sravanam Diaries Podcast we can finally introduce ourselves ? Hare Krishna, I’m Sulalita Devi Dasi, I‘ve been practicing vaisnavism and Bhakti-yoga my whole life and always loved books, philosophy, creativity & arts. I’ve been reading Srila Prabhupada’s books from childhood, but the past 10 years, with the instructions of my spiritual master, I’m trying to dive especially deep into his books, vaisnava siddhanta and the science of bhakti yoga.

We’ve read 7 out of 52 books… well, some of the books that are coming up are much-much-somuch thicker than the ones we’ve completed 🙂

When I think about Sravanam Diaries I see it as a bit more than just a podcast. Right, as if I have nothing to do and for me to study these books I have to “publish every lesson online”. Definitely not. I also see it as my contribution to the mission of Srila Prabhupada, as my participation in the Family Business of Book Distribution, as my little foot-soldier weapon against the influence of the illusory energy in the army of Lord Caitanya to inundate the world with love of God.

Also in our humble aspirations to bring awareness about the importance of a strong philosophical comprehension and fluency in Srila Prabhupada’s books, we are not planning to stick to podcasting only. Hence, it’s just a beginning.

I’m definitely grateful and prayerful about this moment of reaching the first milestone.
