Mangalacarana By Bhaktivedanta Academy Mayapur Students

During the Vedic Age in India, we had a very strong Gurukula System which provided high standard education and produced great Kings, Pundits, and scholars who guided society towards the highest goal of human life. It imbibed the teachings of Veda that helped to grow a happy society.    Bhaktivedanta Academy Mayapur is an effort to establish the ancient Gurukula system once again in India where everyone without any difference can learn and imbibe the teachings of Vedas.  These young students showcase how the Vedic system infuses all the auspiciousness in the personalities of young kids and helps them grow as nice human beings.

Before one begins any auspicious activity, he must ask for blessings from his spiritual master, the Guru Parampara, all the Vaisnavas, Sri-Sri Gaura Nitai, and Sri-Sri Radha Krishna. The Mangalacarana, therefore, is to be recited as a part of any auspicious activity, in order to understand our position and to honor and receive blessings from these various exalted personalities. In this video (left to right) Balaram, Haridev, Purushottam and Vamana recite the Mangalacarana. This mantra is amongst the first the students learn at the gurukul.
