Two Qualities to take You Further and Further Toward Krsna Consciousness

I remember back over 50 years ago when we joined our beloved Srila Prabhupada what the amazing affect this hearing had on our consciousness. The details of the topics we had read would come up later on in the day and as devotees shared what they had read or heard we felt positively great bliss, and we were being brought closer to Krsna in our hearts. It was undeniable.

So please take a little time from your busy days to listen carefully and practice– not letting your mind wander to many other things, which it will seemingly forever do. Just have faith in Krsna being there gradually purifying you and little by little peeling away the layers of unwanted things that are causing the distractions.

Hearing and chanting will gradually become easier to hear more and more attentively because eventually everything in this material world loses its attraction to you and the distractions from them will eventually come almost to nil.
Patience and enthusiasm are two of the most important qualities to take you further and further toward Krsna consciousness. Please pray to Krsna that we will again one day be in a temple together with others who are sincere and that we can live in a transcendental environment that is strictly based only on the simple process of devotional service 24 hours a day just like in the old days.
Krsna wants us to continue this science that is closely aligned to the desires and plans of the past acaryas and for us to reach this goal of love of God.

Anyway, thanking you again many times, sincerely, your servant Mahananda dasa
