Nilgiri is located close 30 km from Ballasoreand is between bhadrak and ballasore . There is a Jagannatha Temple in Nilagiri town which is one of the prominent Jagannnath temples of Odisha. Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra are worshiped here with pomp. Every year Ratha Yatra is observed here on a large scale similar in style with Puri.

Ensconced in the verdant environs of Nilagiri, the five lingams at Panchalingeswar, the revered venue for numerous devotees, are bathed by the iridescent and sparkling waters of a perennial stream. Locals say that these lingams were installed in this beautiful abode by King Banasura himself because of the serenity and beauty of its surrounding environs.
