Health Update on HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja – August 31 9.30 AM

Respected Maharajas, Prabhus, Matajis, disciples and wellwishers of HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja.

Guru Maharaja’s health is stable and has not deteriorated in any manner after the first night in the hospital environment. His temperature is 98.2 degrees and the Oxygen Saturation 96%. All his vital parameters are in general, stable and this is a good sign. Last night’s sleep was satisfactory but there was some persistent coughing. Maharaja often says that he has been coughing since childhood!  We await the results of the chest x-ray during the day for a more detailed diagnosis on this. Maharaja honored Prasadam and is chanting his rounds. He is extremely embarrassed that we are sending these updates and stated, “ I am not such an important man, please don’t send these updates!”. However, keeping in mind everyone’s anxiety we will continue to provide you more updates.

In general, Maharaja’s health is stable and he is in active spirits and communication; however, we need to be extremely alert and monitor the progress over the next 48 hours. Kindly keep up the prayers, chant more rounds, more attentive rounds, perform sankirtan, chant prayers like Narasimha Kavaca, etc, pray to your local deities and above all, if you can, try and offer your additional japa of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra for his health. Many thanks for your sincere prayers so far and lets keep praying.
