What was the Issue?

ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) has lodged a complaint against actress and stand-up comic Surleen Kaur and entertainment company Shemaroo for insulting the organisation and Hindus. The organisation has sent a complaint to the Mumbai police against a stand-up show hosted by Kaur, which was published by Shemaroo in various online platforms.

In the complaint released by ISKCON vice president and spokesperson Radharamn Das, they have said that the video published by the company on different social media sites, YouTube channel, on the website www.shemaroome.com etc. is highly defamatory towards ISKCON society as well as towards the followers of Hinduism. They have added that the language used by Kaur is highly objectionable and defamatory, and it has caused great pain to the followers of Sanatan Dharma, Hindus and ISKCON worldwide devotees.

Yesterday, we have seen that a video in which Ms. Surleen Kaur is saying in the video(in Hindi):”Besak hum sub ISKCON waley hain, par andar sey sub harami porn waley hai….” She further say’s that,” Dhanya ho hmarey Rishi-muni jinhone thodi si Sanskrit use kar key apne badey badey kaand chupaye hai… Kamasutra” and immediately reported to ISKCON’s communications director and Bureau Gen’l Secretary. Soon after this, we got a reply from communications director of ISKCON.

Some of you must have been forwarded a video of a “stand-up comedian’ who begins a series of vulgar ‘comedy’ statements by invoking ISKCON’s name.

It was shot a year ago but was noticed by social media users only today.

The program was uploaded by Shemaroo.

We spoke with the top management, they were genuinely apologetic for that and apparently someone down the line approved such content.

They have initiated the removal of the episode from all their platforms and will post a message clarifying the same.

As for the artist herself, a lot of people have began filing FIR’s for hurting religious sentiments.

Lessons from this incident:

There is a growing trend in India, where Hinduism/Sanatan Dharma and our Rishi-Munis, Deities, etc are being constantly abused by a group of people and organizations. They are misusing the tolerant nature of the followers of Sanatan Dharma and their abuses and language and volume of abuse has only grown louder day by day.

There is a hidden propaganda and conspiracy to defame Sanatan Dharma, our Rishi-Munis so that the youths can be easily manipulated. Through app’ like Tik-Tok etc. the focus of the foreign power’s is to destroy the character of the masses so that country can be easily controlled & destroyed.

We can learn from the example of China itself. When the ancient Chinese decided to live in peace, they made the great wall of China, they thought no one can climb it due to its height.

During the first 100 years of its existence, the Chinese were invaded thrice. And every time, the hordes of enemy infantry had no need of penetrating or climbing over the wall, because each time they bribed the guards and came through the doors.

The Chinese built the wall but forgot the character-building of the wall-guards. Thus, the building of human character comes before building of anything else.

If you want to destroy the civilization of a nation, there are 3 ways:

1. Destroy their family structure – In order to destroy the family; undermine the role of Motherhood, make her feel ashamed of being a housewife.
2. Destroy their education system – To destroy the education: you should give no importance to the Teacher, and lower his place in society so that the students despise him.
3. Lower their role models and references – To lower the role models: you should undermine their scholars, doubt them until no one listens to them or trusts them.

For when a conscious mother disappeared, a dedicated teacher disappears and there’s a downfall of the role models, who will teach the youngsters values?

ISKCON was founded so that our youths are guided towards happiness. Happy Youths can only make a strong nation.

So, like this case, we need to stand unitedly with Dharma against adharma. Always Dharma wins over Adharma.
