His Holiness Bhakti Vikāsa Mahārāja visited the famous Dargah Sharif at Ajmer, Rajasthan after the five days long blissful vyāsa-pūjā program at Pushkar, Rajasthan. Dargarh is a shrine of the sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti. One might ask what is a need for a devotee to visit this place.
One of the answers is:
gaur āmāra, je-saba sthāne,
koralo bhramaṇa raṅge,
se-saba sthāna, heribo āmi,
praṇayi-bhakata-saṅge.
Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura visited this place on his tour to North India in 1926-27. He commented while in Pushkar that Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s teachings had not yet been preached in that area and that there was a pronounced need to do so. HH Bhakti Vikāsa Mahārāja, an empowered grand-disciple of Śrīla Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, arranged a huge gathering of vaisnavas from all over the world in Pushkar for śravaṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ. Taking the opportunity, he also arranged kīrtanaṁ for the benefit of Muslims coming to Dargah Sharif.
