The Member of Parliament of Mathura Hema Malini said that Braj was not just the playground of Radha Krishna but also their heartland. Every spec and rock here is inhabited by Radha Krishna. That’s why in all of Braj one can hear echoes of Radha Krishna. She said that if this India aspires to be a preceptor of the universe or universal guide and leader then we will have to follow the messages of the Gita.
Hema Malini on Thursday visited the Krishna Balarama ISKCON temple to have darshan and behold his presence. While there she met with devotees from Nepal. The Parliamentarian said that India and Nepal have had relations that have endured for centuries. Even in today, Nepal one can see Hindu customs and heritage much in prevalence and popular use. To the about thousand or so devotees from Nepal she spoke about the power of devotion or Bhakti. That the Sankirtan of the name of Krishna was the greatest practice or sadhana of all.
The Parliamentarian said that the PM Narendra Modi wished to see Nepal as a prosperous nation. For this, he had made several visits to Nepal. Prior to this Hema Malini was welcomed by Roopeshwar Gordas the President of the Iskcon temple in Kathmandu.
ISKCON’s public relations Director, Saurabh Trivikram Das presented the Parliamentarian with a copy of the Gita and Prasad. The Nepali devotees present there though their melodious Hari kirtan made her, Hema overcome with emotion. On this occasion Ramharidas, Vishwajeet Brajesh Das, Putri Prabhu, and several others were present too.
