Republic Hindi Desk: The trend of making a pandal like the design of Chandrodaya Temple of Vedic Planetarium under construction of ISKCON Mayapur, the world’s largest Vedic temple in Bengal, is not new. Kalyani’s Rathtala Ward 20 Sarvajanin Durga Puja Barwari has also built a puja pandal like the Mayapur temple. For the first time, a group of devotees from the spiritual headquarters of ISKCON, Mayapur, inaugurated this Durga Pujanotsava on Chaturthi.
ISKCON Mayapur media spokesperson Subrata Das said that it is being seen at present that the stars of film, sports, fashion, and politics inaugurate Durgapuja, while at the inauguration ceremony of Rathtala Sarvajanin Durgotsav of Kalyani on Wednesday evening. , Playing the mridang, while performing the Harinam Sankirtan, the devotees of ISKCON Mayapur arrived. Foreigners from Russia, Poland, Australia, Brazil and students and senior devotees of ISKCON Gurukul also participated in this group.
First, the students of Gurukul chanted the sacred and auspicious Vedic mantras which are performed before any worship. After this, the pandal and puja were duly inaugurated by lighting a lamp and breaking a coconut. After this, the devotees prayed to Maa Durga. The pandal echoed from various mantras. After this, the devotees performed Harinama Sankirtana with great pomp. All the people present at this inauguration ceremony rose to the tune of Hare Krishna Hare Rama. Everyone enjoyed this unique opening ceremony.
The devotees of ISKCON are generally known to worship Lord Krishna, but according to the Gaudiya Vaishnava texts, Mother Durga is considered as the external energy of the Lord Shri Krishna.
