Paris devotees gather in ISKCON temple for Janmashtami

[Translation from Hindi] By Tez Samachar – August 24, 2019: Paris (Tej Samachar Desk): The Janmashtami festival is being celebrated with great fanfare on Saturday in Paris. Therein, devotees in great numbers swelled in the ISKCON temple.

In Paris, devotees cut the cake and celebrated the birthday of the Lord, as well as bathe the Deities of Bhagavan Krishna and Radha amid chanting. Devotees from many countries took part in the program and observed the occasion of Lord Sri Krishna’s appearance day festival with rejoicing.

The temple pujari Ramabhadra Das said that all are welcome in ISKCON, and there is no discrimination. People from various countries like France and Mauritius come here and celebrate. Many states of India are also represented here.

During this, French theater staged a drama of related stories from Lord Krishna’s life. Bhakta Gaurav Das from Algeria sang an Algerian song. Meanwhile, those people from India sang bhajans. There an Indian lady Neelam Rani said that observing Janmashtami in Paris is like observing it in Vrindavan.
