Noida, Delhi NCR: 108 Kalash Abhishek At ISKCON Temple To Celebrate Lord Shri Krishna’s Appearance

[Translated from Hindi] Navbharat Times | Updated: 16 Aug 2019, 08:00:00 AM IST | NBT News, Noida Sector 33, This Sri Krishna Janmashtami season at the ISKCON temple will be particularly special. Herein, along with the birth festival of Sri Krishna an abhishek of 108 kalashas will be observed. On Sunday, August 18, Shobha Yatras will start at 4 p.m. from various locations around Noida, and their return journies will be completed at the ISKCON temple. The Shobha Yatras will start from Sector 18: Metro Station, All Mall Chowk, DM Chowk; and Sector 25A: Spice Mall, Adobe Chowk and on return will arrive at the temple in Sector 33.

In the ISKCON temple, 24th August, the Shri Krishna Janmashtami Celebration will be observed with great fanfare, wherein from 4:30 in the morning kirtan, arati, and kalash-abhishek will be performed. After the the Lord’s appearance will be the Lord’s darshan and distribution of prasadam. And the Govinda Rock Band will perform for the devotees.

Sunday, 25th August, there will be kirtan, glorification, chhapan bhog (56 items of foodstuffs offered to the Lord), arati and prasadam distribution. On the September 6 will be abhishek, a lecture, chhapan bhog, maha-arati and prasadam distribution.
