On Sunday at the ISKCON Mandir two-day lecture concluded: For tasting nectar, one has to face poison. It is impossible to get nectar without poison. At the city ISKCON mandir, during the conclusion of the two-day lecture, Srimad Bhakti Ashraya Vaishnav Swami Maharaja from Vrindavan was present. Maharaja Ji, while giving the example of the Churning of the Milk-Ocean, said that when the Devatas and Asuras met for the purpose of producing nectar, and when they started churning the Milk Ocean then a powerful poison came out. In this way, coming before the conclusion of all high activities there are many kinds of obstacles, of which all will have to face until we can reach our goal. A song of the glories of the topmost Vaishnava Shiva Ji says that Lord Siva Ji drank the halahal poison that came from the churning of the Ocean of Milk and held the poison in his throat.
A staging on a drama on the test of the three gods
After the lecture, a drama presented by the ISKCON Youth Forum, titled “Examination of the Three Gods”, uplifted the faithful. Afterwards there was arati and prasadam was distributed. Temple president Jagdish Shyama Das Ji said that by Krishna katha people get pure knowledge. In the temple from 30 July through 5th August Prahalad Anand Prabhu from Mumbai will present Bhagavat Katha, which will run from morning 8:00 through 10:00. From 15 August Ram Leela rehearsals will start.
