Legal Notice to ISKCON GBC

Dear leaders of ISKCON,
This is a legal notice which will turn into a never-ending court case if you pass a resolution which will allow female diksa gurus in our movement without thoroughly discussing the matter with Indian ISKCON leaders who will be most affected by such a decision.
If you do not want to discuss it now and inside the devotees circle, then we will discuss it in the court. We have dedicated our lives in service of ISKCON and are fully aware how much damage this case may cause to the movement, but if you are not ready for dialog, then we are left with no other option.
Attached herewith is a formal legal notice for your kind consideration
your servant,
Hanuman Das (Hemanth Rao)

  • Some people do not take this seriously and think it is a joke. They obviously do not know the Indian legal system. It is not a joke and would put the GBC into a lot of trouble. Why?

1 Almost certainly the ISKCON India Legal office would not defend the GBC and possibly even aid the plaintiff. Why because the Legal team is adamantly opposed to Feminist Diksha gurus. So GBC can not expect any help from ISKCON India.

2 GBC will have to send in their own people to head up the defense. But no temple in India will support them or give them a place to stay or even prasadam. They will be pariahs and totally on their own.

3 Civil wars are the ugliest of all wars.

4 If the fight between ISKCON and the long standing fight with the Rtviks is any measure then you can expect serious acrimony and hatred between the two sides who used to be loving friends. That is already prevalent now between pro and anti FDG supporters But it can get worse.

Severe beatings: an ISKCON devotee was severely beaten and hospitalized as a result. While in the hospital a false case was lodged against him so that it made him look like the villain and for more than 10 years he had to appear in courts to defend against the false allegations. One devotee on the Legal was murdered in Jan 2009, the case was unsolved. Two members of the ISKCON legal team were almost killed and hospitalized. An 80 year old devotee was kidnapped for several days before release. Others were kidnapped and beaten. 1-2 devotees were driven to suicide and in the suicide notes they named members of the opposing side as the cause of their suicide. In India to be accused of causing the suicide of another is a serious charge equivalent to homicide. Other things that happened was media smear campaigns.

And let us not forget the widespread violence and destruction that went on recently in Kerala as a result feminist activist trying to break the age old traditions in Sabarimala (do a search for that). And of course in Mayapura 2016 there was also violence and a GBC member was almost defenestrated.

5 Another thing to expect is that all leaders of the pro-FDG campaign (we know who you are) could get blacklisted and their Visas to India cancelled and when they arrive in India they get turned back at immigration and have to return whence they came. Think that can't happen? For decades HH Giriraja Swami was blacklisted by an unknown person. The same happened to Bhakti Raghava Swami who was on the list for over 10 years. Neither of them could come to India while they were on the list.

6 And then as we said false charges will be leveled at various players on the opposing side and you will be stuck in India having to deal with a very messy legal system and with no help from the local yatra because you on the wrong side. Thus you could end staying in an Indian prison cell for a long time.

7 The Bureau will take over Vrndavana as they did Mayapura and all pro-FDG persons especially the crazy ladies aka Women's Ministry will be kicked out and visas canceled.

8 It will be open season on all known pro-FDG supporters.

Just so you don't make a mistake. I am not making any threats as I have no power to do anything. I am just telling you what the likely scenarios are from past experience with major legal cases in India.

Feminists of ISKCON, if your goal in pursuing FDG was to polarize ISKCON to such levels of hatred and create a civil war that will destroy ISKCON, then congratulations you have succeeded.

  • He is not a disciple of Srila Prabhupada. It is not yet known who he is initiated by. Prabhupada did have a disciple named Hanuman Dasa but he is from Quebec, Canada. He is also crazy and very antagonistic to Srila Prabhupada and all things Vedic.
