It is impossible to ever consider ISKCON’s giving in to the X———–X camp’s cherished desire to “just everyone get along and have mutual respect for each other,” and be one big happy family, etc., because it will only serve to give them a better chance to promote their agenda with less restriction. ISKCON has nothing to gain and will simple diminish itself.
In my unfortunate experience, I have mostly had two kinds of association with X————————-X’s followers. On the one hand, they have spent their time basically trying to tear down ISKCON. And the other half? They have simply promoted the personality of X_____________X rather than his philosophy.. To me, both things were a red flag. If you want to help me spiritually, then seize the moment and engage me in Krsna consciousness at that moment, rather than attempt to make me go along with different ideas for me to either accept or reject. In my humble opinion, this indicates to me that something is wrong, that we are seeing a belief system at work, rather than Krsna’s internal potency.
Honestly, I haven’t taken the time to look into what the big attraction is to discard my time honored guru-disciple diksa relationship with Srila Prabhupada, and insult him by changing my name and/or taking diksa from someone else. My relationship with him was exactly the same from the point of initiation up to his departure, and remained the same the very next day, up to this very moment. He is Krsna’s external manifestation, and my connection with him is transcendental.
As I serve Srila Prabhupada, who is the all perfect and complete manifestation in the external world of the same Supersoul that permeates everything, my connection is not even slightly influenced nor affected by any external circumstances, not even his holy passage back to Krsna. Nothing changes. And if you understand that, why would you go looking for another spiritual master to be reinitiated?
The Supersoul is full with all spiritual knowledge, which, of course, includes the full science of our relationship with Krsna and it’s reawakening. So when we take complete shelter of the cent percent unalloyed devotee who is always protected and second by second empowered by Krsna, we are taking shelter of the “external manifestation” of this complete embodiment of this perfect and complete spiritual knowledge. This is a fact. If you don’t understand this, you need to. It is an important part of our understanding so that we can maintain full faith in our beloved Srila Prabhupada, which can then never be broken. We need that complete faith, in both guru and Krsna, based on spiritual facts, in order to understand everything properly and go back to Godhead.
Of course, Srila Prabhupada is special. He is Krsna’s confidential servant sent here for a special assignment. So if we are so fortunate to have him as our initiating guru, we can easily develop that faith if we are sincere. Krsna will bless us from within. Srila Prabhupada is very dear to Krsna on a very personal level and Krsna encourages us from within to surrender to the Supreme through serving His manifestation of servitor God. Nothing else is required.
