Dear Devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances.  All glories to Srila Prabhupada.  KINDLY POST THIS ON YOUR TEMPLE NOTICE BOARDS.

Caturmasya and Monsoon is upon us, and the Samadhi Dome is quite damp inside because there was leaking from the Kalash base at the top. We repaired that. But we needed a de-humidifier, which is not a cheap.  I researched for a week, and eventually found a terrific deal for a reputable American make and adequate model. I had the cheque made out from our accounts office to deposit it in the company’s account.  But I really didn’t want to spend the money.

Meanwhile, I got a fortuitous phone call from one of the companies I researched.  It was an excited Dayalu Ram das from Bombay who wanted to donate the de-humidifier in the name of his daughter, Prakriti. I was even more excited, and told him. “Thank you so much. Can I call you back in a minute? I have to find out if I can stop the cheque…”  Krishna’s mercy, it was still raining so nobody took it for deposit.  Prabhu was really happy. The dream model he gave is even better than the one I almost got.  Just in time!

The Museum roof leaked too, because of damage during a hailstone storm some months before, aggravated by monkeys sporting up there.  We’ll have to replace the fiberglass.

Vyasa Puja is coming up soon.  Srila Prabhupada is sitting right here in Vrndavan in his divine eternal resting place.  We can never estimate the debt we owe to His Divine Grace, who is our ISKCON Founder Acarya, Global Acarya, BBT Founder and who set into motion so many projects for us to serve Lord Caitanya’s Mission in so many ways.  Some devotees give donations once or twice yearly, some monthly, some once in a lifetime or in a bequeathement. I appeal to you all to please help me serve the Samadhi by considering setting up something in your bank accounts that will send money in some regulated way for the Samadhi and Samadhi Museum upkeep and to build a Fixed Deposit Fund.  I guesstimated Rs.2 crore, but recently a devotee financial expert told me that Rs.10 crore would be more realistic to support Samadhi expenses for the next 10,000 years.  We have more than Rs.1 crore now. Please help.  Srila Prabhupada reciprocates in extraordinary ways.

No donation is too big or too small. Caturmasya is a good occasion to begin your commitment, but any time is auspicious, especially in Vrndavana—unimaginable eternal benefits.

To catch up with what we do, there is a Samadhi face-book page. The link is:            https://www.facebook.com/samadhimandir.

Below is information on how to donate whatever your heart desires in reciprocation for Srila Prabhupada’s ever expanding mercy in his Samadhi Mandir.  Donations may also be directed to the Samadhi Maintenance Fund Fixed Deposit, the interest from which your donation will serve Srila Prabhupada eternally. Bank transfers are cheaper than wiring.

Whether you wish to give to the Vrndavana Samadhi Fixed Deposit; or to a specific project of the Samadhi, kindly contact me (parvati.acbsp@pamho.net) here in Vrndavana so I know to look for it in case of technical delays, especially if you send on-line. To insure appropriate handling, if you mail it or send it by hand, address your envelope to Samadhi Maintenance Fund, attention Parvati devi dasi WITH A COVERING LETTER. Please state your name, address and the purpose of the donation, so proper documentation can be made and receipts and GIFTS can be sent.
